SoCal Bike Expo 2026: Santa Clarita's New Cycling Festival

Halloween weekend in SCV just got a brand-new centerpiece: a free, outdoor, nine-acre cycling festival taking over Central Park from October 30 through November 1. Test-ride the latest bikes and e-bikes, watch the demos, browse the vendor village, and kick it off with a Ride with the Pros at Haskell Canyon Bike Park.

What Is the SoCal Bike Expo?

The SoCal Bike Expo is a new, free outdoor cycling festival and industry meetup that lands in Santa Clarita for its first edition on Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, 2026. It spreads across about nine acres of Central Park, with exhibitor tents from bike brands and local retailers, a dirt-and-singletrack demo course for test rides, group rides, a vintage bike show, and entertainment through the weekend. It is the first event of this scale the valley has hosted, and it happens to land on the same weekend as Fright Fest's finale at Six Flags and Halloween night itself.

The festival is free to attend, with rider registration handled through the expo's website. That makes it one of the best-value weekends of the whole SCV calendar, whether you are a serious rider, a family shopping for a first bike, or someone who just wants to walk the vendor village and people-watch.

What to Do at the Expo

Test-Ride the Demo Course

The heart of the expo is the dirt-and-singletrack demo loop, where riders can take the latest mountain bikes and Class 1 e-bikes out for a real spin under guided conditions. If you have been deciding between two bikes all year, this is the weekend to settle it. Bring your own helmet and be ready to sign a waiver.

Browse the Vendor Village

Brand exhibits, bike retailers, gear makers, and local shops fill the canopy village across the park. It is a rare chance to compare components and accessories side by side, and festival-only deals are common at events like this.

Group Rides & the Vintage Bike Show

Organizers schedule group rides through the weekend, and the vintage bike show is the festival's crowd-pleaser: lovingly restored classics parked on the grass for everyone to inspect and photograph. Even non-riders will find plenty to enjoy.

Kickoff Event

Ride with the Pros at Haskell Canyon Bike Park

The expo weekend actually starts the afternoon before, on Thursday, October 29, with a Ride with the Pros session at the Haskell Canyon Bike Park up Bouquet Canyon Road. Pros lead laps and share skills on the valley's free, purpose-built mountain bike park, and the evening wraps with Fright Fest's Halloween-weekend nights at Six Flags Magic Mountain, just down the freeway.

It is a smart, full-circle opener for a bike festival in this valley: our own new bike park is both a venue and the proof that the SCV trail community is growing fast. If you have not been up to Haskell Canyon yet, the Ride with the Pros session is a great excuse to go.

Sam's Insider Tips for the Weekend

Register Before You Go

General attendance is free, but demo rides and some group rides run on registration. Book your slot on the expo site ahead of the weekend so you are not refreshing a queue from the parking lot.

Park Early, Ride Early

Central Park fills up fast for big festival weekends. Fridays and Saturday mornings are the lightest windows, and the loops around the park are part of the paved paseo network if you want to warm up first.

Make It a Halloween Weekend

The expo shares the weekend with Fright Fest's final nights, the Valencia Town Center Pumpkin Patch's trick-or-treat finale, and Gilchrist Farm's last harvest weekend. Sam's Halloween weekend guide has the full schedule.

Bring the Whole Family

With the demo course, the vintage show, and food vendors, this is a daytime festival kids can actually enjoy. Central Park's own playground and splash-friendly lawns sit right there, so non-riding family members have options too.
