“Halloween in Santa Clarita is a whole season, and it kicks off with pumpkin picking. The great news is you do not have to drive far: there are patches right in the valley, from the Valencia Town Center festival to the quirky Enchanted Cemetery in Newhall and even a pumpkin patch floating in a pool.”
In-Valley · Daily in October
Valencia Town Center Pumpkin Patch Festival
24201 Valencia Blvd · Daily, October 1-31
The Valencia Town Center Pumpkin Patch sets up right on the mall grounds all October long, and it is the easiest fall stop for SCV families. Pick a pumpkin, then let the kids burn off energy on bounce houses and games while you browse food trucks and listen to live music.
The patch runs daily through October 31 and caps the season with a big Trick-or-Treat event on Halloween itself. It is free to browse and pay-per-activity, so you can make it as quick or as full an afternoon as you like.
Sam's tip: Pair the pumpkin patch with a meal at one of the Town Center restaurants to make it a full family outing. Golden hour makes for the best photos.

Quirkier, smaller, and very local. These two are worth a stop if you want something off the beaten path.
The Enchanted Cemetery Pumpkin Patch
23450 Newhall Ave · Thu-Sun, Oct 3-31
Tucked into Newhall, the Enchanted Cemetery Pumpkin Patch plays on its spooky name with a fun, family-friendly setup: pumpkin picking, archery, scavenger hunts, arcade games, face painting, live entertainment, and plenty of photo ops. It runs Thursday through Sunday from early October to Halloween. Dates can shift year to year, so it is always worth confirming locally before you go.
City's Floating Pumpkin Patch
Santa Clarita Aquatic Center · Late October
One of SCV's most delightful traditions: the City of Santa Clarita Floating Pumpkin Patch at the Aquatic Center on Centre Point Parkway. Kids wade into the pool to pick their pumpkin straight off the water. It is a beloved, recurring event held in late October each year, so watch the city's recreation calendar for this year's date.

Round Out Your Halloween Season
Nearby Seasonal Patches
Just outside the valley, Tina's Pumpkin Patch and Stu Miller's Seasonal Adventure in the Newhall area open in early October with corn mazes, petting zoos, and more. And for the classic farm experience, Gilchrist Farm's Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch on Bouquet Canyon Road runs from late September through November 1. When you want to go bigger, Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark is the valley's go-to mega-festival.
Daytime Fun for Little Ones
If the kids want theme-park Halloween without the scares, Six Flags Magic Mountain runs its family-friendly Tricks and Treats daytime event through November 1, with a Trick-or-Treat Trail, costume parades, and non-scary activities. See the full details in Sam's Fall Events Guide.
